The UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden serves as an outdoor classroom and laboratory for courses ranging from English Literature and Art to Geography and Physics. We also welcome many Plant Science, Landscape Architecture, and Biology courses.
To help us understand how we can provide resources for your visit, please fill out the form below. If you are looking for a field trip for K-12 students, click here.
Resources available to college courses:
• Short introduction to the Botanical Garden or longer guided tour (please make sure to request at least 1 month in advance)
• Outdoor Amphitheater that seats ~40. We strongly recommend reserving this space so that it is not already in use when you visit. It is reservable for free for UCLA courses, and includes a hidden whiteboard that can be set up for you.
• Research space for lab courses
• Information about specific plants
Unfortunately, we do not offer free reservations of the Outdoor Amphitheater for UCLA Extension (UNEX) courses.
