Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center

The Ashe Center supports UCLA students in the successful attainment of their educational goals through the personalized delivery of accessible, high-quality health and wellness services. Information about Covid-19 testing, vaccines and other services are available here.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS provides: Short-term, high-quality mental health treatment including assessment, consultation and case management; group and individual therapy; and psychiatry services, resources, and referrals. CAPS is open during regular business hours, providing all services through telehealth*, and 24/7 crisis support is always available by phone at 310-825-0768.

*Office phones are answered Mondays through Fridays 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. For other hours, please refer to the website.

Financial Wellness Program

This program fosters financial literacy skills through workshops, coaching and online educational efforts. Additionally, they aim to encourage students to know who, when and why to ask for help. Overall, the program centralizes and advocates for student economic support services on campus.

Recreation – UCLA Recreation provides extensive access to a broad range of recreational activities and services.

Semel Healthy Campus Initiative Center

Semel HCI aims to make the healthy choice the easy choice for the more than 85,000 students, faculty, staff and visitors at UCLA.. Semel HCI promotes the “healthy choice as the easy choice” through its seven major thematic areas, called pods: BEWell, BreatheWell, EatWell, EngageWell, MindWell, MoveWell and ResearchWell.

Cafe 580

CalFresh
Governmental financial assistance based on proof of need. CalFresh is California’s version of SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), a federally-funded food assistance program.

CPO Food Closet
The food closet provides free food for any UCLA student who may be experiencing hunger and/or struggling to attain food due to financial hardships. Location: Student Activities Center Level 1

Economic Crisis Response Team
ECR Team provides support and guidance to students who have self-identified, or are identified by UCLA faculty or staff, as experiencing a financial crisis that impacts their academic success at UCLA.

UCLA Teaching Kitchen (part of UCLA Rec center’s Fitwell Program)

The Teaching Kitchen was developed as an educational, interactive space to meet the needs of the campus community in areas of nutrition education, food insecurity, culinary skills, and community engagement. They host virtual tutorials and workshops on topics ranging from basic cooking techniques to theme-based recipes.

Bruin Alert
Bruin Alert communicates official information during an emergency or crisis that disrupts the normal operation of the UCLA campus or threatens the health and safety of members of the campus community.

Campus Assault Resources and Education – CARE
CARE is committed to the eradication of sexual and gender-based violence through creating and sustaining a safe, healthy, and equitable community for all people.

Consultation and Response Team – CRT
UCLA’s Consultation & Response Team (CRT) is a group of professional staff members charged with responding to reports of students who may be in distress.

Emergency Medical Services
EMS-1, the primary campus ambulance, is a 9-1-1 emergency ambulance which responds to more than 1700 medical aid requests annually, both on the UCLA campus and in the surrounding community.
