Interested candidates should reach out directly to Dr. Correa via email to discuss potential projects and overlap in research interests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We do not have any available positions for technicians. <\/strong>We will update the website if any positions become available.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Undergraduates join the lab through a formal training program offered in the Fall and Winter quarters.<br \/>\nUndergraduate training in sex differences research. <\/strong>PhD student Rachel Scott designed a two-quarter program that collaboratively trains undergraduates in foundational literature and experimental approaches. The course trains and places students in one of FIVE labs at UCLA doing research related to <a href=\"https:\/\/sexdifferencesinmetabolism.ucla.edu\">Sex Differences in Metabolism<\/a>. In the first quarter, students read and discuss primary research articles. \u00a0At the end of the first quarter, a subset of students are selected to join individual projects in one of five labs (<a href=\"https:\/\/arnoldlab.ibp.ucla.edu\">Arnold<\/a>, Correa, <a href=\"https:\/\/profiles.ucla.edu\/andrea.hevener\">Hevener<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lusis.genetics.ucla.edu\">Lusis<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/reue.genetics.ucla.edu\">Reue<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/jevanveen.github.io\">van Veen<\/a>) and continue in the program. In the second quarter, students learn techniques that will be relevant to their laboratory research.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>We are offering this program in Fall 2026. <\/strong><\/em>Interested undergraduates should email a <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">single PDF<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0with the following three components to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">correametabolismlab at gmail<\/span>.
