1. KACE Netboot requirements:
  2. Create the NetBoot environment on a device running the same version of the operating system as the NetBoot environment you are making.
  3. Must change date on mac to prior to the expiration of the date of the certificate for the target OS. (?)
  4. Download the installer app for the OS you want to use to upload the Netboot environment.
  5.  Download K2000 Media Manager Mac application from the K2000 appliance.
  6.  Open Media Manager and enter the following:
    – K2000 Hostname k2000.lsic.ucla.edu
    – Source Media Name (name for Netboot environment on the K2000
    – Browse to select OS X Yosemite installer app or possibly the USB installer for it (4?)
    7. Click Open.
  7. Click Open
  8. Enter a NetBoot Password and confirm the Password. (lssacsc std)
  9. Click Start Build and the NetBoot environment uploads to the K2000 appliance.
    Set the default NetBoot environment and enable the NetBoot server after you create the NetBoot environment
    1. Logon to the K2000.lsic.ucla.edu appliance and click Settings to display the Control Panel, then click General Settings to display
 the General Settings page.
    2. Select the name of the Mac OS X environment to be default.
    Enable the NetBoot server
    1. Go to the K2000 appliance and click Settings to display the Control Panel, then click Network Settings to display
 the Network Settings page.
    2. Select the Enable the NetBoot server (for Mac OS X clients) check box.
    3. Click Save.
