  1. KACE Netboot requirements:<\/li>\n
  2. Create the NetBoot environment on a device running the same version of the operating system as the NetBoot environment you are making.<\/li>\n
  3. Must change date on mac to prior to the expiration of the date of the certificate for the target OS. (?)<\/li>\n
  4. \n
    Download the installer app for the OS you want to use to upload the Netboot environment.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  5. \n
    \u00a0Download\u00a0K2000 Media Manager Mac application from the K2000 appliance.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  6. \n
    \u00a0Open Media Manager and enter the following:<\/div>\n
    \n
    – K2000 Hostname k2000.lsic.ucla.edu<\/div>\n
    – Source Media Name (name for Netboot environment on the K2000<\/div>\n
    – Browse to select OS X Yosemite installer app or possibly the USB installer for it (4?)<\/div>\n

    7. Click Open.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Click Open<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Enter a NetBoot Password and confirm the Password. (lssacsc std)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

  9. Click Start Build and the NetBoot environment uploads to the K2000 appliance.\n

    Set the default NetBoot environment and enable the NetBoot server after you create the NetBoot environment<\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n
    1. Logon\u00a0to the K2000.lsic.ucla.edu appliance and click Settings to display the Control Panel, then click General Settings to display\u2028 the General Settings page.<\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n
    2. Select the name of the Mac OS X environment to be default.<\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n
    Enable the NetBoot server<\/u><\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n

    1. Go to the K2000 appliance and click Settings to display the Control Panel, then click Network Settings to display\u2028 the Network Settings page.<\/div>\n

    2. Select the Enable the NetBoot server (for Mac OS X clients) check box.<\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n
    3. Click Save.<\/div>\n
