{"id":9,"date":"2018-09-26T10:20:54","date_gmt":"2018-09-26T17:20:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.lifesci.ucla.edu\/mcdb-microscopy\/?page_id=9"},"modified":"2018-10-11T09:54:40","modified_gmt":"2018-10-11T16:54:40","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.lifesci.ucla.edu\/mcdb-microscopy\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the <b>MCDB\/BSCRC Microscopy Core Facility<\/b><strong>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We provide access, training and assistance with a wide array of high-end imaging systems, including 4 Zeiss microscopes for<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><b>epifluorescence<\/b>,<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><b>confocal <\/b>and<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><b>SuperResolution<\/b>, as well as an<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>Imaris workstation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Our facility also has a strong educational component. We believe that <strong>imaging is for everyone!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">The <strong>MCDB\/BSCRC Microscopy Core<\/strong> is a partnership between the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcdb.ucla.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology<\/a> (MCDB) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/stemcell.ucla.edu\/welcome-broad-stem-cell-research-center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Broad Stem Cell Research Center<\/a> (BSCRC) at UCLA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Core is located in the <strong>Terasaki Life Sciences Building\u00a0 5031<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hours of operation<\/strong>:\u00a0 Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM with after-hours access provided to qualified users.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Usage fees:<\/strong> There are currently no usage fees for use of the Core. Please be aware that an hourly recharge rate to defray the maintenance costs for routine consumables such as halogen and fluorescence light bulbs, and for the maintenance service contracts will be forthcoming.
