We are an international and diverse team of collaborators interested in avian fear responses and escape behavior. We are currently represented by 300+ scientists and enthusiasts from all around the world, who have studied birds on all continents.

Our mission is to pull together as much data from around the world as possible to create a global and open-source database on escape distances of birds that can be used to predict how bird species will respond to anthropogenic disturbance in different world regions, and across different taxonomic groups and various contexts, having important implications for current wildlife conservation efforts.
