SUMMER RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES
Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs) are paid, summer training programs that provide hands-on research experiences and mentoring for undergraduates. These programs offer opportunities for science students, to reach the next step in their career path. As opposed to the average entry-level job in a laboratory, which is generally focused around the success of the lab’s research itself, REUs are programs that are designed to focus on the success of students.
We highly recommend that our students look into, and apply for, these paid summer research programs– not only to gain more experience and good mentoring, but also, to potentially meet new friends who might share similar interests and hopefully have a summer full of inspiration and excitement!
