INTERESTED IN JOINING THE ORDWAY LAB AT UCLA?

The Ordway lab welcomes applicants of any career stage interested in addressing pressing problems in global change ecology using remote sensing, field measurements, socioeconomic datasets, and modeling.

Prospective undergraduate students: Undergraduate students interested in assisting and leading research related to global change ecology are encouraged to contact me directly (elsaordway [at] ucla.edu). Please include a one paragraph statement about your research interests in your email.

Prospective graduate students: I am not accepting new graduate students at this time. Please check back in 2024 and contact me directly (elsaordway [at] ucla.edu) if you are interested in joining UCLA as a Master’s or PhD student. The UCLA Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology application deadline is typically in early December. I encourage prospective students to contact me well before the admissions deadline, around August or September, to start a conversation. Please send your CV and a brief statement describing your research interests and background. See the UCLA EEB Prospective Applicant page for more details.

Prospective postdocs: Please send your CV and a brief statement of your research interests and background to elsaordway [at] ucla.edu. I am always open to working with people on applications for postdoctoral fellowships (e.g. NSF Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in Biology, NSF Earth Sciences Postdoctoral Fellowships, NOAA Climate & Global Change, UC President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship, Smith Fellowship), so please reach out.
