Pathways to Success Program
The UCLA-HHMI Pathways to Success Program is a 4-year, cohort-based, academic and research program for undergraduate students majoring in the life sciences, with an interest in the bio-sciences. We are committed to the academic success, professional development, and personal growth of highly motivated students, from diverse backgrounds, who intend to pursue a career in the life sciences.
All HHMI Pathways students engage in cutting edge research during their first year, participate in student-led academic learning workshops, receive academic advising and mentorship, and are a part of a safe and supportive community to help support their success and persistence in STEM. Through our programming students are introduced to research before the end of their first year and are accepted into labs as early as the summer after their first year or during their second year.
This program is made possible by the generous support of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), which is committed to providing a world-class educational experience to emerging scientific leaders.
