Mentor-Mentee Resources

Mentoring relationships are mutually respectful, mutually supportive relationships. They require commitment, a willingness to do honest self-assessment, and an ability to 1) give/receive feedback, and 2) seek positive solutions to misunderstandings from both mentor and mentee. When these elements are present, the potential for personal growth, professional growth, and productivity is enormous.

All Pathways mentors are expected to be academically successful leaders who value diversity and are committed to developing their mentoring skills and sharing their experiences with other HMMI students.

All prospective and current Pathways mentors should take the time to watch the TED Talk below on the importance of mentoring.
