Justice in Undergraduate STEM Education

The Maloy Research Group is a research team here at UCLA led by principal investigator Dr. Jeff Maloy, an assistant teaching professor in the Department of Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. Our research focuses on contributing to more inclusive and engaging classrooms, both in STEM and beyond it. Some of our research interests include active learning, seductive details, and the inclusion of LGBTQ+ students in the classroom, among many others. We use a holistic approach to address many of our research questions. We combine quantitative and qualitative statistical analyses to get a better look at the bigger picture.
