We’re always interested in hearing from curious and creative scientists. The lab is a diverse, inclusive, and nurturing community. While we heavily use advanced instrumentation and quantitative tools, expertise with these skills is something we aspire to build in you and not a pre-requisite for work with us.
Positions are available for postdoctoral fellows interested in exploring any range of questions aligned with the lab’s expertise in early development, neurodevelopment, evo-devo, microscopy, image analysis, etc.
Positions are also available for interested graduate students. The lab is currently affiliated with the NSIDP, the MBIDP, the MCIP IDP, and the Bioinformatics IDP, although interested candidates from other programs are welcome as well.
Interested candidates should send an e-mail to: pavak (at) ucla.edu
Undergraduates interested in gaining research experience are encouraged to apply as well. The lab is a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and inclusive environment and students with an interest in molecular biology, developmental biology, computational biology or machine learning will find many opportunities to join on-going research projects.
