California Institute for Biodiversity awards grant to Shaffer Lab

The Shaffer lab recently received a collection support and stabilization grant from the California Institute for Biodiversity (CIB) to accession and catalog existing samples that have never been entered in our tissue collection and return samples to partners who have contributed to our work in the past. The grant from the CIB allowed us to repair two -80C ultracold freezers, consolidate our collection into a single space at UCLA, and hire Eli Woodward, a recent UCLA graduate, to oversee the project.
