Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Awards
These awards recognize outstanding individuals or groups who demonstrate a commitment to leadership, outreach and service. Examples include (but are not limited to) participation in recruitment efforts in the UCLA biosciences, providing peer-support to graduate students, teaching and mentoring in under-represented schools, and active leadership within outreach organizations focused on promoting diversity.
Eligibility:
- Faculty, staff, students, postdocs, and groups in the MBI.
- Students must be making satisfactory academic progress to be eligible for this award.
- Self nominations are welcome.
- Groups or individuals are welcome to apply
Nomination guidelines:
Describe the nominee’s contributions to diversity, equity and inclusion and the reasons why you’re nominating them for this award
Please be sure to articulate the impact of the nominee’s efforts. It maybe be helpful to include the communities that were supported, the approximate number of people that were supported, and/or the groups or individuals with whom the nominee collaborated to realize their efforts. Note that we encourage group nominations for collaborative efforts.
