Prospective Study Coordinators

If you are graduating Summer 2024 and have experience with acquiring and/or analyzing fMRI data, please reach out to uclacandylab@ucla.edu.

Prospective Psychology Graduate Students

While it is very unlikely Dr. Tiffany Ho will be taking students for Fall 2025 matriculation, she will be reviewing Ph.D. applications for the Clinical Psychology program. The deadline for submission will be November 1, 2024. Because of the volume of e-mails she receives, she will likely be unable to respond to inquiries about graduate school applications.

Prospective Neuroscience Graduate Students

Dr. Ho is a faculty member of the Interdepartmental Ph.D. program in Neuroscience at UCLA. If you are already admitted or enrolled in the program and are interested in rotating in Dr. Ho’s lab, please send an e-mail with your CV and a brief description of your research interests.

Prospective Postdoctoral Researchers

Dr. Ho is willing to mentor postdoctoral researchers if she is able to provide them with at least a 2-year commitment. Candidates who have a strong background in human MRI or who are clinically trained and would like to lead training on a variety of clinical instruments are the best fit for potential positions in the lab. Please e-mail Dr. Ho with your CV and a brief description of your research interests.

Prospective Research Assistants

*We are currently looking for motivated undergraduate research assistants!*

We are seeking lab volunteers for a study using clinical neuroscience tools to investigate how experiences and perceptions of stress play a role in shaping adolescent brain development, and how these changes contribute to the risk of depression and other related conditions (i.e., anxiety, suicidality).

Lab volunteers would participate in running assessments, data entry, data organization, administrative tasks, and depending on their ability, monitoring MRI study visits. This is a great opportunity to learn about all the phases of the research project from start to finish. The ideal volunteer will be organized, motivated, and passionate about clinical science, developmental psychology, or neuroscience.

NOTE: We do not generally accept volunteers who can only commit to one quarter. During the year, a minimum of 10 hours per week is required, and you must be able to make at least a three-quarter commitment. Dr. Ho will only provide reference letters for those who have worked in the lab for at least three quarters (summers do not count unless you are actively working in the lab).
