New UCLA Cousins Center Seed Grant!

The lab receives a pilot grant to examine how inflammatory cytokines, the expression of inflammatory genes influence neurocircuits underlying reward processing and the extent to which these processes predict antidepressant response in adolescents with depression.

R21 Grant received in collaboration with Dr. Yan Li at UCSF! The project will use deuterated glucose as a probe to characterize glutamate metabolism in patients with depression using spectroscopy methods on a 7T MRI Machine

R01 Grant awarded for TIGER!

The lab has been awarded an R01 grant from the NIMH. This project will test whether stress-related influences on peripheral inflammation and cortico-limbic glutamate levels predict treatment non-response to SSRIs and 18-month clinical course in depressed adolescents.

Pilot Grant awarded for TIGER EARS!

The lab has been awarded a pilot grant from the UCSF Resource Evaluation and Allocation Committee to support TIGER EARS! This proof-of-concept project, “Digital Phenotyping of Adolescent Depression: Toward Scalable Biomarkers,” will test whether digitally derived behaviors obtained from passive sensing and keyboard smartphone data map onto dissociable phenotypes.
