Liliana Tinoco accepted MARC Fellowship

Liliana Tinoco, undergraduate researcher and mentee of Raquel Aragón at the Arispe Lab, has been accepted into the MARC Fellowship Program. This is a highly competitive NIH funded training fellowship which will allow Liliana to travel to at least one national conference and showcase her research findings.

Hannah Sunshine, PhD Candidate

Congratulations to Hannah Sunshine, Molecular, Cellular, & Integrative Physiology student, who passed her Oral Examinations on December 2017 and has now advanced to candidacy!

Colleah & Kate

Colleah Gilbert and Kathryn Abe-Ridgway joined the lab for the summer as part of the BIG (Bruins in Genomics) Program. They presented a poster summarizing their findings.

Colleah is an undergraduate senior in the Biology/Pre-Medicine program at Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University.
Kathryn is an undergraduate senior in the Biotechnology and Statistics program at UC Davis.

 

Julia Mack

Presenting her poster to one of the judges of the Cardiovascular Symposium held in September at the UCLA Luskin Center.  Julia won an award for her poster entitled “Notch1 is a Flow Sensor in Adult Endothelium”.
